"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make out to be a liar and his word is not in us."
--1st John chapter 1

God wants us to learn from his teachings. By searching and reading, we learn who he is. We learn about a new God. One who is loving and caring but much different from the one most churches make God out to be. Our churches are stereotypical and judgmental. The modern "Christian" does not live like Christ. Jesus wasn't judgmental when he was walking around the Earth. He accepted people for who they were. He wasn't stereotypical at all. He saw the people as His people, as his children. We are the sheep and he is the shepherd. He should be leading us to a better life. We are to die to our past selves. Be born again and become new, different....changed. He does not look at me and say American. He does not look at someone from Britain and say British. Jesus loves us...no matter what color or race. When we accept him, we are automatically accepted into the Kingdom of God. How awesome is He! How wonderful is it to know that we are His children...that he accepts us for what we are. God is my Father and my Creator. And he has been trying to tell me this for a very long time. And finally my eyes have been opened and my heart is open to God. I was blind to what Jesus was doing to me. Then it all just clicked. My eyes were opened to the things unseen. As old a hymn as Amazing Grace is, it does a wonderful job explaining how it is when God calls your name and you finally hear it. You finally understand everything. While making that change isn't easy. It takes hard work and dedication. But if you pray, things will work out. God never came out and said it was easy. He just said he would be there by our side until the end of time. He said he would take care of us.

"I am writing to you, young people,
because you are strong and
the word of God lives in you
and you have overcame the evil one."
